It’s hard to believe it’s already November. With Halloween behind us, it’s time to get the Thanksgiving decorations out and start our holiday shopping.
The holiday season is such a bright time of year. It gives us a chance to express our gratitude for the people and relationships in our lives, while also showing our loved ones just how much they mean to us. The biggest shopping days of the year — both Black Friday and Cyber Monday — give bargain hunters the chance to get epic savings on must-have items. And while the cold is uncomfortable to many, you can’t beat the feeling of the first snow of the season.
But beyond all that, the holiday season is a chance to help others. And that’s what #GivingTuesday is all about. #GivingTuesday was started in 2012 by New York’s 92nd Street Y in partnership with the United Nations Foundation. Now, with thousands of organizations participating, it serves as a global movement that emphasizes the sheer power of the giving spirit.
