It’s so hard to believe it’s already November! 2017 has just flown by. Thanksgiving is just a few weeks away and, pretty soon, we’ll be ushering in a new year. But, we still have two months to go before 2018, and we’ve got a ton of events coming up to make the rest of the year memorable.

WhatsUp Community Expo
- Remember the Community Forum Night? Well, this monthly networking event now has a new name and location. The WhatsUp Community Expo will be held at the Delaplaine Arts Center for the first time next week, Tuesday, Nov. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. Join us and our new partner, the Delaplaine Arts Center, for an evening of networking, conversation and fun. Plus, we’ll have complimentary dinner provided by Bellisario’s! The event is totally free and open to the public. Click here for more information.
Heavy Metal Playground Fundraiser
- On November 12, Heavy Metal Playground will be hosting a fundraiser for CLI! This is also the last day they’re open before the winter hiatus, so be sure to make a reservation here for a portion of the proceeds to go to CLI.
Winter Giving Campaign

You might remember our annual Snowflake Campaign. Well, this year, we’re changing things up a bit. We’re having a Winter Giving Campaign, with two different giving options.
- Giving Tuesday. Once again, we’re participating in Giving Tuesday, an annual day of giving that falls on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This year, the event is Nov. 28. What’s special about this year is that the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation will be matching all donations made through Facebook until they reach $2 million. If you’ve already “liked” our Facebook page, you can just click the “donate” button to send your gift. If you’re not already following us, you can search for us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/clifrederick.
- Snowflake General Giving Campaign. We’re also holding our annual Giving Campaign throughout the winter. This year, though, we’re giving our donors the option of selecting where their funds are used. When we send out our mailers this year, you’ll see personalized letters enclosed that explain more about each department and why your gift is so important.
