There’s quite a bit to be excited about here at CLI.
We just recently unveiled a new video that takes viewers behind the scenes of our organization. In just a few days, the video was viewed more than 800 times and reached almost 2,000 people — on Facebook alone! Oftentimes, nonprofits can seem detached from the community. It can feel as though the community and the organization they support are separate from one another when, in reality, nonprofits couldn’t function without the support of their communities. With this video, we wanted to give an open look at what we do, how we do it, and why we think it makes a difference, so that each of our supporters — and the general public — can get a better understanding of just what their generous contributions are going toward.
As the summer winds down, things aren’t slowing one bit for us. After the resounding success of our last bingo in May (we sold out — and then some!), we are beginning to plan for our next bingo in October. Be sure to stay tuned for details on this! (Spoiler alert: It’s themed!)
We’re very excited to have the chance to get out in the community a lot in the next few weeks and months. We’ll be at Hood College’s Community Service Fair from 1 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 1, and we’ll have a table at the Great Frederick Fair’s Community Day all day long on Wednesday, Sept. 21. We’re also planning some other local events, so be sure to check our calendar for the latest updates.
We’re very excited to be partnering with Cyndi Richards, LuLaRoe consultant and wonderful CLI supporter, for an ongoing promotion starting next month. (If you’re not familiar with LuLaRoe, check them out here). Anytime after Sept. 9, if you shop her LuLaRoe collection and use the code CLI2016, a portion of the proceeds will benefit CLI! We can’t wait to kick off this great promotion! Special thanks to Cyndi for her support!
Keep checking the calendar for updates, and be sure to visit our new YouTube channel and watch our video if you haven’t seen it!
As always, thanks to everyone for their continued support of CLI!
